Lasix Injection

• Lasix 10 mg/ml Injection is used in the treatment of oedema and high blood pressure
• It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease

• Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. • Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

• How Lasix Injection works Lasix Injection is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced.

• 
  Alcohol:

  It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Lasix Injection.

• 
  Driving:

  Lasix Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

• 
  Kidney:

  Lasix Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lasix Injection is recommended. However, use of Lasix Injection is not recommended in severe kidney disease patients who are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines. Please inform your doctor.

• 
  Liver:

  Lasix Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lasix Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  Pregnancy:

  Lasix Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

• 
  Breastfeeding:

  Lasix Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
